It has been a fun-filled, busy week - packed full of learning and lots of holiday joy! This week students enjoyed gathering together in the gym to sing Christmas carols and listened to a read-aloud from Dr. Slater. Thank-you to parent council for providing us with yummy oranges and candy canes while we listened to our story. We also loved learning about the winter solstice and had lots of fun working together to make our stone soup. We even made bannock and our own butter! Here is the recipe for bannock that we followed (in case you would like to try it at home)! Bannock Ingredients · 3 cups all-purpose flour (+ more for kneading) · 2 tablespoons baking powder · ¼ cup vegetable oil · 1 ½ cups water · 1 pinch salt · 2 Tbsp sugar 1.
