Looking Back:
In UFLI this week, we reviewed all of our “magic e” rules we have learned so far…which included words with the long vowel sound for /a/ /i/ and /o/. We also practiced the concept of “magic e” with the long vowel sounds for /e/.
In math this week, we focused on subtraction. We talked about different strategies to use when solving subtraction problems, such as using a number line, counting on fingers, and using blocks.. We practiced solving some subtraction problems by using a number line and writing the corresponding number sentence.
In preparation for our Assembly and Earth Day, students have been learning about the planet Earth. We have been focusing on how we can protect our planet by doing small things to conserve water and energy, care for our planet and recycle.
